Property Review
You have a few days to decide on an offer. Property Review screens one or two homes for what is hard to see on a showing and hard to change after closing.
What we look at
- Flood and water: FEMA flood zone, nearby water, low points and signs of ponding.
- Nuisance sources: distance to transmission lines, substations, highways, rail, and commercial uses.
- Exposure and light: roads aimed at the lot, headlight and sightline exposure, neighboring heights and winter sun.
- Layout and orientation: entry orientation, circulation, natural ventilation.
- Questions to ask the seller, your agent, and your home inspector before you commit.
Optional: traditional feng shui
For clients who want it, a separate chapter reviews the home's external forms, entry and orientation, and interior layout, with suggested adjustments.
It is labeled as cultural interpretation and kept apart from the site findings, which stand on their own.
